After the death of Fahrenzhausen's mayor Heinrich Stadlbauer, a successor has to be found.
A name is making the rounds behind closed doors.
Fahrenzhausen
– the clock is ticking.
Fahrenzhausen only has until August 4 to nominate applicants to succeed the deceased mayor Heinrich Stadlbauer.
There is still radio silence as far as officially confirmed names for a candidacy are concerned, but the CSU has at least invited to the nomination meeting for Tuesday.
And one name is already making the rounds behind closed doors: Susanne Hartmann.
“No comment at the moment” – this is how Hartmann reacts when confronted with the news that she has already been chosen internally as mayoral candidate for Fahrenzhausen.
Susanne Hartmann is covered: "No comment"
Hartmann, who lives in Hohenkammer, has already run for the FDP twice - albeit unsuccessfully - for the office of mayor (most recently in the 2020 runoff election she narrowly lost to her CSU opponent Mario Berti with 47.2 percent of the vote) , who sits on the Hohenkammer municipal council and also in the Freising district council for the FDP, is covered.
The deadline by which applicants must be registered is still running.
"Until then, keep your feet still," said Hartmann literally when asked by FT.
Mayoral election in Fahrenzhausen is on September 25th
It remains to be seen whether Hartmann will have another competitor for the mayoral election in Fahrenzhausen, which is scheduled for September 25, if she is actually put on the candidate shield.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
The CSU local association has already invited to the Sportheim Kammerberg, at least for Tuesday, August 2nd, to nominate a candidate for mayor.
According to the CSU municipal councilor and local association assessor Astrid Wildgruber-Bolesczuk, “it is not yet clear who it is or whether someone will be”.

"It's going to be really exciting," she told the daily newspaper.
Since the unexpected death of Heinrich Stadlbauer around two months ago, "countless talks" have been held with possible and potential candidates - across party, community and district boundaries.
There were initially many commitments, which were canceled a few days later.
Perhaps understandably, according to Wildgruber-Bolesczuk, it is "probably extremely difficult for interested parties to make such a life-influencing decision in such a short time".
Important: If there is no or only one candidate for mayor by the August 4th deadline, the nomination and nomination deadline will be extended by one week.
