Remember The Sims?

EA's life simulation game where you could build a house, design characters and control their lives like puppets on a string?

So in case you didn't know, the fourth version of the series, The Sims 4, is still kicking.

And with it also the titles.

A free update released to the game on July 26 ahead of The Sims 4: High School Years expansion pack added curved walls, body hair and new desires and fears to the game.

And along the way it seems he also accidentally added incest to the game, and sims that get old way too fast.

Oops.

Many players who downloaded the update were surprised to find that their Sims' romantic desires suddenly included family: some reports included news of an elderly mother in the game wanting to date her son, another player said his Sim wanted to date his twin sister, and you get the idea.

Of course they didn't forget to share about it on social media, tagging EA.

It is important to note that the fact that your Sims want it, does not mean that the option can be exercised in the game.

According to the speculations in the community, all this probably happened due to a bug in the new desires and fears system that replaced the Whims system that existed until now.

The system allows Sims to desire the things they want to do and achieve, essentially giving the player more goals to pursue.

The same system was apparently affected by the new update.

Various players have noted that those who don't want to run into the bug can turn off the option for the fear and desire system - but that means they won't be able to play the mechanics of the new update.

A little misses the mark we would say.

Another bug that caused chaos in the game caused Sims to age very quickly, and some players claimed that within a few minutes the Sim grew from a baby to old age, and simply died prematurely.

Users logged into The Sims 4 received a warning window about the bug, encouraging players not to play with the long or short lifespan option.

Another miss of game mechanics that the players will not be able to experience.

The quality designer of The Sims 4, who received the nickname SimGuruNick on the network, responded on Twitter about the bug and stated: "The desire to date a family member is something we know about, we are working on it. We are trying to fix it as soon as possible, thanks for all the bug reports, we appreciate That. We are of course also working on the aging bug."

The Sims 4 updates have a bad reputation for being riddled with bugs, after several updates that repeatedly rocked the game and broke it.

Also ahead of the relatively new expansion, My Wedding Stories released an update to implement the new features, and guess what?

It also did not function properly after the update and ruined the game experience for many players.

At least until EA released another update that would fix all the bugs from the previous update.

Starting to sound like a pattern?
