The Iraqi Security Media Cell announced today the arrest of two terrorists after they were lured into an ambush in Babil Governorate.
In a statement received by Alsumaria News, the cell stated that “through careful follow-up to the file of wanted persons and fugitives from the judiciary, and in a qualitative intelligence operation, the divisions of the Intelligence and Security Directorate of Babylon were able to arrest two terrorists fleeing from the province, two arrest warrants were issued against them in accordance with Article 4 of terrorism, after luring them from the Kurdistan region to a tight ambush in the district of Mahaweel, Babil Governorate.
The statement added: The detachments of the Kirkuk Intelligence and Security Directorate of the same directorate, in cooperation with the storming force of the Kirkuk police chief's office, were able to arrest a terrorist from ISIS who was providing terrorist elements with information about the presence and movements of the security forces in Kirkuk.
