The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Nazir Salem, stressed the importance of working as a team with the national commercial activities to implement the ministry’s strategic plans and objectives in terms of the flow of goods in the markets within the Syrian standard specifications without cheating or fraud, and in terms of price control and fairness.
Minister Salem called during a meeting with the president and members of the Chamber of Commerce in Hama Governorate to cooperate with the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in the governorate and to work for the benefit of the citizen and not to allow the weak of souls to raise the prices of goods and materials under false and flimsy pretexts, indicating that the real merchant does not manipulate prices and bills and does not cheat.
Minister Salem pointed to the importance of the principle of trademark industry, protection and distinction so that it does not resemble others globally, and its viability in all countries of the world as an ambassador for Syrian products, stressing the strict international standards and adherence to them to protect the mark because it is a transit route to globalization.
Minister Salem listened to commercial activities and the most important difficulties and obstacles facing their work, as members of the Chamber of Commerce stressed to address the issue of fuel and electricity and the rise in feed prices and their significant impact on raising the costs of materials, which in turn leads to raising prices in the markets, which fall on the citizen's shoulders.
