The company supervising the operation of the “Power of Siberia” gas pipeline announced that the pumping of Russian natural gas through this pipeline to China increased by 60.9 percent in seven months.
The company said in a statement carried by RIA Novosti today that the volume of pumping in July exceeded the intended daily contract quantities, pointing out that gas exports to China via the Power Siberia pipeline are growing under a long-term bilateral contract between Russia's Gazprom and China's CNBC.
The Siberian Power is a gas pipeline that aims to pump natural gas from fields in the Russian Far East to China, and supplies began through it to China on December 2, 2019.
