What has been discussed behind closed doors in Fahrenzhausen for days has now been confirmed.

Susanne Hartmann from Hohenkammer is running for mayor.

Fahrenzhausen

– Susanne Hartmann, municipal and district councilor from Hohenkammer, was nominated as a mayoral candidate by the FWE Fahrenzhausen nomination meeting on Friday.

"With a clear majority of over 95 percent, the members of the FWE voted in a secret ballot for the 59-year-old," says a press release.

Hartmann is married, has two adult children and has been working for a global automotive supplier in Munich for nine years.

Susanne Hartmann has been active in local politics since 1996

Before that, she was a team leader in facility management for many years.

There she was also active in the works council and as an employee representative on the supervisory board for 20 years.

She has lived in Hohenkammer since 2001, has been active in local politics since 1996 and has been a member of the municipal council in her home community for over 14 years.

She is currently a representative of the municipal council in the local municipal company.

In 2020, the candidate was elected to the district council for the FDP for the first time.

In 2014 she ran for mayor in Hohenkammer, but was unable to assert herself against the incumbent Johann Stegmair.

In 2020, Susanne Hartmann drew attention to herself when she ran in the mayoral election in Hohenkammer as one of four candidates who reached the runoff election, but had to let her competitor Mario Berti go ahead after a difference of 70 votes.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

"In her speech to the members of the FWE, the candidate emphasized, among other things, the importance of the future municipal duties of inclusion and all-day care.

The speedy completion of major projects that have already been initiated, such as the construction of the new town hall or meeting places for children and senior citizens, is also important to her,” the press release says.

FDP local councilor Harms made contact with the candidate

The contact between the local council of Fahrenzhausen and Susanne Hartmann was established by the FDP local councilor Thorsten Harms.

The mayoral candidate of the FWE relies on the broadest possible support from the local voter groups and parties - regardless of political orientation - as well as on a constructive working atmosphere in the administration and the municipal council.

The chairman of the FWE, Andreas Karl, says: "I am very proud that we were able to recruit such an experienced candidate under enormous time pressure.

We hope that with Susanne Hartmann as mayor, we can inspire even more young women to get involved in local politics in Fahrenzhausen.”
