The Department of Health pointed out that many recent deaths were the same, and called on confirmed patients to report them as soon as possible, so that the authorities could arrange nucleic acid tests for confirmation. If there are high-risk factors, the authorities will contact the patients to arrange isolation or admission.


A total of 24 patients are in critical condition

The Hospital Authority announced today that a total of 1,525 confirmed patients are currently hospitalized, and 5 critical and 3 critical patients were added last night, bringing the cumulative number of critical and critical patients to 24 and 1 respectively.

He himself had a pacemaker implanted and his kidney function was poor. Yesterday, he was unconscious at home. His family immediately called an ambulance and took him to the emergency room of Queen Mary Hospital.



2/ A 70-year-old woman suffering from chronic illness and multiple system atrophy. She is bedridden for a long time and needs to be taken care of by others.

She developed cough, phlegm and runny nose on the 17th of this month. The rapid test result was positive on the same day. She went to the designated clinic for consultation the next day and was transferred to the Prince of Wales Hospital on the same day.

Due to his poor health and poor lung function, his condition deteriorated and his death was delayed until yesterday.

3/ A 58-year-old woman with hepatitis B, diabetes, tuberculosis and chronic low platelet count. According to her son, the quick test result was positive on the 15th of this month, but she did not seek medical attention or take any medicine. Until the 30th of this month, the family will see her. His body was weak, so he called a white car and arranged for him to be sent to the hospital.

X-ray lung films showed that her right lung was "full of flowers" and needed to be sent to the intensive care unit. She was also prescribed remdesivir. During this period, her viral load kept rising, and she reacted "numbly" to the drug, and finally died yesterday.



4/ A 72-year-old man suffering from cognitive impairment, diabetes, high blood pressure and irregular heart rate has already received two injections.

His family said that he had been diagnosed two weeks ago, but he did not seek medical treatment or take medicine at that time. However, his condition continued to deteriorate after being admitted to the hospital, and he was confirmed dead yesterday.

5/ A 75-year-old man who suffered from high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia and other chronic diseases and had a stroke went to the A&E department on the 23rd of this month for medical treatment. At that time, he had difficulty breathing, rapid heart rate and vomiting. It deteriorated and eventually died.

The Hospital Authority stated that he was diagnosed in March and was also tested for the new coronavirus on this admission.

6/ A 52-year-old male patient who died unexpectedly when returning to work on July 25 and whose first aid was ineffective. His body was sent to the public mortuary for forensic autopsy and found to be positive for the new coronavirus.

The patient tested positive for the rapid test a week before his death, but he did not seek medical treatment or take medicine at that time. The HA pointed out that he may return to work a week later due to a negative rapid test. Suffering from long-term diseases such as hypertension, hepatitis B and hyperlipidemia, it is initially believed that coronary arteriosclerosis may be involved.
