The family of Fida Kiwan, the Israeli whose death sentence in the United Arab Emirates was commuted to life imprisonment, today (Monday) appealed to Prime Minister Yair Lapid and asked him to act for her return to Israel in view of her health condition and the plight she is in.
In the letter sent through the lawyer Tammy Ullman it is written that Kiwan fell into a conspiracy and is not a drug dealer, this after staying in Dubai for 14 days in order to establish a website that she had been working on for years.
Amma Sabah is in the Emirates and intends to address the letter to the palace of the President of the Union Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Elanhian in order to have him comply with the request of the Israeli authorities.

"In the above case, there are circumstances that justify your intervention as the head of our state, to work for her removal from Dubai and her return to the State of Israel - this taking into account, among other things, her health condition (both physical and mental) and the harsh prison conditions she is currently under, alone, away from her family members, her friends and her homeland, in the correctional facility in Dubai," the lawyer wrote.
"Taking into account the prison term that was imposed on my client - life imprisonment, and the fact that she is subjected to extremely difficult prison conditions and suffers every day, it is requested that the processing of her request be expedited, and everything, so that her case is dealt with as soon as possible given.
And it's about 'laws of soul'," Ullman added.
