Starnberg – As previously reported, a 32-year-old swimmer has been missing since yesterday afternoon.
According to current knowledge, the missing person is said to have collided with a motorboat on Lake Starnberg at around 2:45 p.m.
A large-scale rescue and search operation that was initiated immediately was unsuccessful.
The casualty has not yet been rescued.
Today the search measures on the lake are being continued by the Starnberg water police.
The Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police have taken over the investigation into the cause of the accident.
By order of the Munich II public prosecutor's office, the seizure of the motorboat and an accident analysis report were ordered.
The police measures are currently concentrating on the search for the missing swimmer and on clarifying the facts.
