Denklingen – Like most of the guests at the Hebauf celebration, the architect remained down to earth.

Mayor Andreas Mayor was of course on top.

At the topping-out ceremony – almost five months after the ground-breaking ceremony – he joined the carpenters on the roof.

After Alois Inning, the master carpenter from Stöttwang-Linden, had exclaimed “High, high, high” in a powerful voice at the end of the topping-out speech, the head of the town hall, Braunegger, spoke briefly.

He spoke of the “most important” construction project in the municipality.

It is gratifying that shortly after the ground-breaking ceremony in March, Hebauf can already be committed.

A short tour of the two-storey building with the architect, specialist planners, safety engineer, craftsmen, local councillors, building yard employees, representatives of the BRK district association in Landsberg and the head of the kindergarten followed.

Apart from the mobile partition in the multi-purpose room on the ground floor, all the solid walls have already been put in place.

The large day-care center, which is being built on municipal property between Hauptstraße and Birkenstraße in Oberdorf, should be ready to move into in spring 2023.

Architect Alexander Müller from the office m2s (müller.schurr.architekten) from Marktoberdorf gave this view.

In the new day care center in Denklingen, which will be one of the largest facilities in the district of Landsberg after its completion, up to 160 children will be cared for in five regular groups and three crèche groups.

The cost of the building is a good eight million euros.

The two-story house has space for three crèche groups on the ground floor and five regular groups on the upper floor.

There will also be a bedroom for the afternoon rest and a studio where the little artists can paint and do handicrafts in the future.

The day-care center is run by the district association of the Bavarian Red Cross.

The kindergarten is still 500 meters further north in a building that is bursting at the seams and which, together with the property, belongs to the church.

Head is Stephan Mößmer.

The team consists of 20 pedagogical staff.

The housekeeping staff are added.

130 boys and girls are currently attending the Denklingen kindergarten.

One group is housed in the container in the yard in front of the gym.

In the Denklingen forest kindergarten, which is run independently but also belongs to the BRK district association, there are 18 places.

Managing director Andreas Lehner and area manager for day-care centers Andrea Maier came to the Hebauf festival in Denklingen from the BRK Landsberg, which is the sponsor of a total of 13 day-care centres.
