Tehran-Sana
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian today considered the new US sanctions against Iran an illogical measure and a show-off that has no effect, stressing that "Washington cannot obtain concessions from Tehran at the negotiating table by continuing to impose sanctions."
And the Iranian news agency (IRNA) quoted Abdullahian as saying in a press statement that “the Iranian Atomic Energy Agency pumping gas into hundreds of centrifuges of advanced generations is our response to these American sanctions,” noting that during the negotiations of the past weeks, the American side submitted a proposal Surprising the International Atomic Energy Agency and aiming to win points at the negotiating table.
Abdullahian added that "the American proposal to issue a resolution against Iran came in conjunction with President Joe Biden sending messages through mediators that America has good and serious intentions to return to the agreement, which proves that its intentions are not sound," explaining that Iran provided its decisive answer to the American side.
Abdullahian referred to the initiative of the European Union Foreign Policy Commissioner Josep Borrell to prepare a draft that includes the positions of the parties involved in the negotiations to cancel the embargo and put it under the title (EU Coordinator's Proposal) to all parties, adding that this proposal has been studied in the capitals of the negotiating countries.
