Hours before the expected visit of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi to Taipei, the escalation between the US and China took another step after the Chinese authorities sent several planes to the maritime border area.
According to an anonymous source who spoke this morning (Monday) with the "Reuters" news agency, warships of the communist regime also "crowded" at the unofficial border between the countries, a narrow passage of about 180 km located between the East and South China Seas.
The ships touched the maritime boundary line and then returned to their tracks, while Taiwan's military fighter jets remained on the other side in preparation, the anonymous source added.
It was also reported that none of the parties crossed the dividing line between the countries, which is a reason for war.

Meanwhile, the Taiwanese Ministry of Defense confirmed that they are monitoring the military presence of China's People's Army and that it will deploy forces in response to "enemy threats".
As a reminder, those close to Nancy Pelosi confirmed last night that she intends to visit Taipei in the coming hours and that local officials have been informed of her arrival.
"She's definitely coming," said the source familiar with the matter.
"The only thing that may change is whether she will stay overnight in the capital (between Tuesday and Wednesday)," he added.
However, in recent hours, Pelosi's entourage has been spreading conflicting messages to allegedly confuse Beijing's authorities.
A source close to the senior official who has access to her schedule explained this morning that the meetings with the senior officials in Taiwan were scheduled for Wednesday, including a conversation with President Tsai Ying-wen.
A newspaper in Taipei claimed that the American delegation would arrive in the evening of Tuesday (local time).
Pelosi began her visit to Asia last night with a visit to Singapore, a journey on the continent that will also include Malaysia, South Korea and Japan.
