Air bomb found in Geretsried - traffic blocks around location

Geretsried - On Tuesday, August 2, an aircraft bomb was found on Rotkehlchenweg in the Gartenberg district of Geretsried.
The explosive ordnance clearance service has already been notified.
Update 2:44 p.m.: Evacuation continues
The clearing and evacuation measures in the danger area (radius 300 meters around the site) are currently ongoing.

Update 12:44 p.m .: Clearance and evacuation measures are underway
The explosive ordnance clearance service has meanwhile arrived at the scene.
The explosives expert identified the aerial bomb as an American 150-pound bomb from World War II.
After examining the aerial bomb, the established safety radius of 300 meters was confirmed.
Numerous citizens will have to leave the danger area temporarily.
Clearing and evacuation measures are currently underway.
People who cannot find any other accommodation can use the council chamber at the town hall (Karl-Lederer-Platz 1, Geretsried) as a place to stay.
Update 11:15 a.m .: Traffic blocks around the site
As reported by the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria South, World War II ammunition was found on a construction site on Rotkehlchenweg in the Gartenberg district of Geretsried.
According to the first assessment, it was a 75-kilogram aircraft bomb.
According to the police, a security area with a radius of 300 meters was initially defined around the site.
The explosive ordnance clearance service was also notified.
Furthermore, traffic closures around the site on Rotkehlchenstrasse had to be prepared for.
