Due to the uncertain Corona situation, there will be no performance of the Freising amateur stage this year.

But next year the curtain will rise again.

Freising

– They are actors with body and soul: the men and women of the Freising amateur theater.

And so it is natural that the election of a new board of directors also gets something from small one-act plays.

Just like on Friday, when they met for the annual general meeting in the buildings of the city garden center to look back and ahead - and to choose a new management team.

Angela Flohr re-elected chairwoman

As one of three election officers, Christian Eltschig had the important task of announcing the voting results of the secret ballots, and he did it with verve, with a lot of emotion and grand gestures - always followed by the question of whether those chosen (all without dissenting votes) would accept the election.

The answers were different – just mimicking: Angela Flohr, re-elected 1st chairwoman, happily called out “Yes, of course!”, her deputy Wolfgang Schnetz answered with “Yes, I assume”, cashier Anna Sperrer left Hearing "It looks good", Technical Director Bernhard Nadler made it succinct and polite with "Accept the choice, thank you", but secretary Nicole Schäckeler and her "Yes" were even shorter.

The three assessors are Anne Stümpfl, Elisabeth Reisch and Daniela Lederer.

After six years as an assessor, Stephan Leitmeier no longer ran for office.

He said that he had always enjoyed the office, but that he could not say at the moment how things were going for him professionally and privately.

And if he can't fill the office 100 percent, then he'd rather resign.

Of course, Leitmeier doesn't turn his back on the amateur stage: "He's still there as a player - and maybe as a director again," says Flohr.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.

"The Small World" will be performed next year

Wolfgang Schnetz will of course be responsible for the next production of the amateur stage: "The Small World" by Franz Gischel.

However, as Flohr looked back in her report, it was decided at the beginning of the year to cancel the performance for autumn 2022 (we reported).

The risk of not being able to offer any or only a few performances or with only a few spectators because of Corona was financially too great.

In addition, one would not have known exactly where to rehearse after the educational center Gartenstraße of the Lebenshilfe was closed to people from outside the school.

As Schnetz said on Friday, however, the comedy will be performed in 2023 – in the Luitpoldhalle, because the Asamtheater will not be finished by then.

All the same, reported Flohr,

Even if there was no production last year, there was still a cash report for 2021 by Anna Sperrer, which, however, was about small sums.

And then?

Yes, then you went almost seamlessly from the meeting to the summer party - from the first to the second act, so to speak.
