Kreuth – A planning application for the demolition and new construction of the former economic part of the listed farm “Beim Wunsch” in Kreuth was met with only a shake of the head.

Only in 2011 was the part of the building attached to the protected courtyard from the first half of the 17th century applied for.

In 2015, this 7.50 by 11.40 meter part of the building was completed.

Now it is to be demolished, including the attached double garage.

The new owners want to replace it with a new extension that is 11.35 meters long and 9.88 meters wide, including a basement.

Visually, the entire building should then look like a courtyard, to which a garage (5.49 by 6.87 meters) is to be connected.

In terms of building planning law, nothing could be said against the application, according to Andreas Schwinghammer, head of the building authority, so that the building and environmental committee of the Kreuth municipality had no choice but to approve the application, willy-nilly.

Uli Rohnbogner (CSU) paid pragmatic and factual attention to the existing planning and particularly criticized the windows.

"It doesn't go with the old building," she stated, listing everything that makes her "not happy": the window proportions, the floor-to-ceiling windows, the patio door without bars, the lintel height and the fact that the property slope has two steps between listed part and new building as well as new building and garage must be overcome.

Visually, it therefore forgives the new building.

Wolfgang Rebensburg (FWG) agreed with Rohnbogner: "It looks like a cashier's window." Bierschneider nodded: "We'll include all of that as a recommendation in our decision." In the end, only Matthias Erhard resisted.

Whether it was correct in terms of building planning law or not, for him it was a question of having a green conscience.
