At the airport in Düsseldorf, two suspected drug dealers were stopped when leaving the country.
The men were wanted on warrants.
Düsseldorf – Two suspected drug dealers were arrested at Düsseldorf Airport on Monday (August 1).
Both were wanted with arrest warrants and were caught by the federal police during exit controls to Turkey.
You are now in custody.
Düsseldorf Airport: Drug dealers stopped before departure to Turkey
The first man was checked before his scheduled flight to Adana, Turkey.
It was noticeable that the public prosecutor's office in Kleve had issued a pre-trial arrest warrant against the man for alleged drug offenses just a few days earlier.
In January 2022, he and two other people are said to have illegally brought large quantities of marijuana, ecstasy and cocaine to Germany and traded them.
He was arrested and handed over to the judicial authorities, reports 24RHEIN.
Dusseldorf Airport: Man caught with a twelve-year-old arrest warrant
Just a few minutes later, a second man was prevented from flying to Turkey.
There was even a twelve-year-old pre-trial arrest warrant from the Tübingen public prosecutor against the 43-year-old.
He is said to have also been involved in drug deals and imported and sold large quantities of marijuana with several people.
The planned trip for this suspected drug dealer also ended in Düsseldorf.
Already in the past week there were successful searches for the Federal Police at Düsseldorf Airport.
On July 27, a 41-year-old man who had been wanted on an arrest warrant for years was arrested.
