How is President Vladimir Putin's health?

A recent video fuels rumors that the Kremlin boss may be ill.

Moscow – There have been numerous rumors about President Vladimir Putin's health since the start of the Ukraine war.

It was initially said that the Kremlin boss had Parkinson's disease because he was holding on to a tabletop during a conversation with his defense minister Sergei Shoigu - probably to hide his trembling hand.

There are also persistent rumors that the Russian President is suffering from cancer – one agent is certain that Putin has “only two to three years left to live”.

Now a recent video from Russia is fueling speculation about the Kremlin boss's poor health, as he apparently cannot move his right arm properly in the clip, as reported by kreiszeitung.de.

Once again the question arises: How sick is Vladimir Putin really?

Kremlin boss barely moves his right arm in the video

The video is from Putin's appearance at a military parade of the Russian Naval Forces in St. Petersburg on Sunday, July 31, 2022. The clip shows the daughter of Putin's Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu guiding the Russian President through a military museum.

The Russian state broadcaster "RIA" previously distributed the recordings - and thus caused the rumors to boil up again.

Is Putin sick?

Unusual movements of the right arm cause a stir

In the video clip, Vladimir Putin can be seen using his left hand to try to shoo away mosquitoes near the right side of his face - while his right arm hangs limp.

This generally seems to move little when running.

So it looks like the Russian President can't use his right arm - because it would make sense to use his right arm to shoo away mosquitoes on the right cheek.

Especially since Putin is right-handed, as evidenced by other video footage.

This cannot be assumed at first, as other clips from “Navy Day” in St. Petersburg show Putin using his right arm to turn the pages of a speech.

Still, the Kremlin chief's moves seem unusual.

Putin's right arm is often part of rumors about his health - is the Kremlin boss really sick?

Vladimir Putin's arm has often been part of speculation about his health in the past.

This was also the case when Putin arrived in Tehran, Iran, when the president got off his plane.

The 69-year-old's right arm hung limply again and his walk down the red carpet was anything but effortless.

The video has already been shared several times on Twitter and also caused heated speculation among users as to whether Putin was ill.

Parkinson's, cancer, paralysis - Vladimir Putin's health is hotly debated

Kremlin politicians always claim that their president is in the best of shape, but even oligarchs are now fueling the cancer rumors surrounding Putin - with the harsh words "We hope he dies of it".

Putin's changed appearance is also having an impact on the rumor mill.

According to this, the "hamster with inflated cheeks" should go downhill physically - at least that's what the British investigative journalist John Sweeney claims.
