Frankfurt – A plane aborted takeoff at Frankfurt Airport at high speed.
This was reported by a user of the
Aviation Herald
portal on Friday (July 22).
Accordingly, it was a flight of the US airline Delta to Detroit.
The reason for the demolition was a bird that was pulled into the turbine.
The machine, which was an Airbus A330-200, had already reached a speed of 140 knots, the user reports.
This corresponds to the equivalent of about 260 kilometers per hour.
After the incident, the crew decided to cancel the start in Frankfurt, as reported by fnp.de.

Airbus aborts departure at Frankfurt Airport: Runway closed
Another user later confirmed the message.
According to him, the runway was still closed when he left Frankfurt later that day as a passenger in a Lufthansa plane.
The Delta Airbus was being prepared to be towed away.
Around 400 people fit into an aircraft of this type.
When asked what happened to the affected passengers, the airport operator Fraport was unable to provide any information at the time of publication.
The incident happened at a time when Frankfurt Airport was already very busy: At the start of the holiday season, there were problems with getting there.
