Due to a defect in an S-Bahn in the Mühltal area, the railway line between Starnberg and Gauting is currently closed.
Hundreds are waiting at the train stations.
Starnberg/Gauting
– Between Starnberg and Gauting, an S-Bahn was broken in the middle of rush hour in the morning.
The railway line is closed in both directions, there is no S-Bahn.
Fire brigades are also deployed on the S-Bahn.
Details are not yet known - it seems to have been a defect in a brake.
It is unclear how long the closure will last.
In the middle of rush hour: S-Bahn between Starnberg and Gauting blocked
The railway reports in its fault indicator that the route between Starnberg and Pasing cannot be used.
"The S-Bahn Munich has set up a rail replacement service with two buses between Starnberg and Gauting.
We are currently working on setting up another rail replacement service with buses between Starnberg and Munich Pasing for you as soon as possible.
We will let you know as soon as it starts operating."
Trains from Munich end in Gauting, from the south in Starnberg.
There is an S-Bahn shuttle service between Starnberg and Tutzing.
