The Jandar Electricity Generating Company put the second steam turbine into service, and the electrical network was supplied with 85 megawatts, after the end of the emergency maintenance work with the efforts and expertise of the company's engineers and technicians.

The general manager of the company, Engineer Muhammad Al-Omar, told SANA reporter that maintenance work was carried out after some technical problems appeared in the turbine, and the work continued for about two months.

Al-Omar indicated that the company's plan for the second half of this year includes conducting general maintenance operations for gas and steam turbines to maintain their production capacity and keep them in good technical condition, as it includes partial maintenance for the first and second turbines, general maintenance for the fourth gas turbine, and inspection of the burners in the fifth and sixth turbines.

It is noteworthy that the General Company for Electricity Generation of Jandar implemented in two phases, the first between 1994 and 1995 with six turbines, four of which were gas turbines and two steam turbines, and the second phase between 2011 and 2016 includes two gas turbines and one steam turbine.
