A judicial investigation for intentional homicide in an organized gang was opened on Tuesday August 2 after the death of a 17-year-old in Fleury-Mérogis (Essonne), beaten by a group of young people from Évry, said the prosecution. , requested by AFP.
The investigation was also opened for aggravated violence.
The autopsy revealed that the death was due to “
a fracture of the skull associated with multiple bruises on the body
”, specified the public ministry.
There have been no arrests at this stage.

Last Tuesday, several clashes took place in Fleury-Mérogis and a brawl first pitted young people from Fleury-Mérogis against a rival gang from the Pyramids district, in Évry.
This first fight ended in the hospitalization of a young man from Évry.
The deceased youngster from Fleury-Mérogis could have been attacked during a "
return match
", a punitive expedition carried out later in the evening of this Tuesday to avenge the injury of the youngster from Évry.
The young man, brain dead after being beaten up by a group of young people from Évry, died the following day.
He had no criminal record, the prosecution told AFP.
Essonne, south of Paris, is the regular scene of sometimes very violent clashes between young people from rival cities or towns, even if the origin of this competition often remains unclear.
In 2020, a quarter of the brawls recorded in France thus took place in this department of around 1.3 million inhabitants.
In 2021, 129 clashes were recorded there.
Three youths, two of them 14, were killed there that year.
According to the prefecture, 41 brawls were recorded in the department in the first half of 2022.
