Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah announced the dissolution of the National Assembly and the call for early elections.

The Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, reported that Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued an Emiri decree to dissolve the National Assembly and call for early elections.

The dissolution of the National Assembly comes a few hours after the new Kuwaiti government headed by Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was sworn in before the Crown Prince.
