Netanyahu continues to make efforts to design a list as he wishes: the former prime minister asked Boaz Bismuth to run in the Tel Aviv district against Bitan's candidate, Bismuth refused.
"Israel Hayom" has learned that Netanyahu is the new party member and asked him to compete in the primaries for the seat reserved for the Tel Aviv district and not on the national list.
Netanyahu's spokesman, Yonatan Urich withdrew from the race for the same seat in the district, and one of the most prominent candidates there is David Laniado, who was previously convicted of a series of house break-ins.
Netanyahu believes that Bismuth will easily beat Lenaido and in general Netanyahu is interested in seeing Bismuth, who is considered a state vote, be included in the list in a realistic place.

However, Bismuth refused the request.
In his view, the 38th place designated for the Tel Aviv district is a distant and unrealistic place that does not match his status and experience, and he is convinced that he will be placed higher in the vote of the Likud officials.
As I recall, Boaz Bismut, the former editor-in-chief of "Israel Hayom", announced about a week ago that he will run in the primaries of the Likud party.
Bismuth, who is expected to run for the national list, welcomed his joining the party and said: "I feel at home. I was warmly received in the movement and I receive huge support."
Bismuth and Netanyahu's office chose not to comment.
