What a sight on Sunday in Höhenrain: the organizers from the Höhenrain Warriors' and Soldiers' Association counted 450 vintage cars on two or four wheels, with thick and thin tyres.
In addition, around 800 visitors, including some without a car.
The Berger family from Bachhauserwies came with two little bulldogs that were older than any family member.
Höhenrain -
Luis (3) and Anton (6) were proud to be able to sit on the old machines from the 70s.
In general, many bulldogs had come.
Organizer Georg Brandl also had his Hanomag and his two Fendts with him at the event organized by the Höhenrain Warriors' and Soldiers' Association.
The oldest vehicles were from the 1920s: a black Ford Model T and a light blue Dixi-Ihle 600 from 1928 that Sebastian Bürgers had come with.
Brandl was amazed at the rush: "120 cars, 100 motorcycles and mopeds and the rest Bulldogs," he lists.
When driving around Höhenrain, it almost got a little cramped.
“The last ones just drove out, the first ones came back.” For Brandl and his 25 or so helpers, it was borderline in terms of work, but it was also nice that the classic car meeting for its tenth time had such a great response .
The Warriors and Soldiers Association used the beer tent, which was still standing on Münsinger Straße from the Trachtler anniversary, and treated the guests to beer, sausages, grilled meat and homemade cakes.
"We sold 38 cakes",
says Brandl.
"By 4 p.m. everything was gone."
