At about 7 am today (2nd), a private car and a motorcycle collided on Tuen Mun Highway towards Kowloon near Yau Kam Tau.
The motorcycle rider was injured and fell to the ground. Seeing this, other drivers stepped forward to hold an umbrella to assist him and check his injuries. He injured his hand and was sent to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Police are investigating the case.
The Transport Department said at 7:41 a.m. that some traffic lanes on Tuen Mun Highway (towards Kowloon) near Sham Tseng were closed due to a traffic accident.
Motorists are only allowed to use the remaining lanes.
At present, Che Lung Mei on Tuen Mun Road (towards Kowloon) has reached Tuen Mun Road near Haojing Garden, and the traffic on the site is currently congested.
