Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin discussed the situation in Ukraine with officials of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
A statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry in this regard today, reported by RIA Novosti Agency, said that a detailed exchange of views and the latest information on issues of humanitarian activity took place in the context of the situation in the People's Republics of Lugansk and Donetsk, as well as in Ukraine.
The representative of the Committee for Assistance in Technical Humanitarian Consultations, Mariana Gasser, and head of the ICRC delegation to Russia and Belarus, Akhtar Aslanov, participated in the meeting on the part of the Red Cross.
