Franziska and Hans Jörg Vogel have been involved in many ways in Walpertskirchen, especially in the cultural area.

Now the two celebrated diamond wedding.

Walpertskirchen

– Franziska and Hans Jörg Vogel are two Munich children who moved to Walpertskirchen 45 years ago, bought a former farm, renovated it, converted it and turned it into the “Vogelhof”.

The couple celebrated their diamond wedding there in a nice, contemplative round.

By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Erding newsletter.

Hans Jörg and Franziska Vogel used to run an open house, had a large circle of friends and acquaintances who met again and again over the years for lavish parties.

Now the 82-year-old and her 83-year-old husband are taking it easy.

They enjoy sitting outside the front door in the sun.

When the two saw each other for the first time, there was still a long way to go.

Because the then 14-year-old Hans was otherwise busy and involved in a scuffle.

However, through their two culturally active families in Munich, Franziska and Hans Jörg met more and more often and fell in love.

The church wedding took place in the summer of 1962 in the Schäftlarn monastery, where the groom had attended boarding school as a student.

In 1965, the twin daughters Steffi and Vroni were born in Munich.

In 1977 the family moved to Walpertskirchen.

Hans Jörg Vogel worked as editor-in-chief at Bayerisches Fernsehen and, as a keen diver, also filmed underwater.

Among other things, he traveled to the Galapagos Islands, where he dived in the middle of a school of hammerhead sharks and with great white sharks off the coast of South Africa.

His wife Franziska worked as a teacher, became deputy principal in Walpertskirchen and worked as headmistress in Forstinning until she retired.

She wrote school sketches that were published and humorous stories.

At the end of the 1970s, Hans Jörg Vogel founded the Walpertskirchen cultural development association and enriched the village's cultural landscape with numerous events.

Even the Spider Murphy Gang made guest appearances at his invitation in April 1981 at a rock-pop festival in the multi-purpose hall in the rural community.

Three generations live in close proximity to the families of the daughters in different buildings on the Vogelhof.

Hans Jörg and Franziska Vogel are the proud grandparents of grandchildren Benedikt and Quirin.

Walpertskirchen's Mayor Franz Hörmann also congratulated the diamond wedding, and there were congratulations from the district.
