During a dispute in Hamburg, a woman is said to have stabbed a man with a knife, critically injuring him.
The 57-year-old was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery, police said on Tuesday.
In the meantime, his life is no longer in danger.
Hamburg – The 41-year-old suspect initially fled on Monday, but then called the police operations center shortly afterwards.
She was arrested near the scene of the crime.
Because she complained of pain, she was also taken to a hospital.
The background to the dispute is still unknown.
Homicide officials have started the investigation in close cooperation with the Hamburg public prosecutor's office.
The 41-year-old should be brought before a magistrate on Tuesday.
