On Sunday (July 31, 2022) many guests in the TV garden on Lerchenberg in Mainz wore T-shirts with funny Ballermann sayings.

A shirt with the inscription “Fiki Fiki” and children wearing “Malle2030” T-shirts caused a lot of discussion.

ZDF has now commented on tz.de.

Mainz – Nobody is talking about the fact that the ZDF television garden with moderator Andrea Kiewel (57) brought in a strong 21.6 percent market share on Sunday.

This corresponds to an outstanding rating of 2.25 million viewers for the entertainment show.

Rather, the network community is concerned with an unpleasant topic that was already discussed on Twitter during the show from Mainz.

"Mallorca Vs. Oktoberfest" in the TV garden: T-shirts cause discussions

It's about the many Ballermann shirts that many guests wore at Lerchenberg in the TV garden.

Identical T-shirts could be seen again and again on the TV pictures.

The spectrum ranged from harmless "Bierkönig" shirts in pink or neon yellow to borderline slogans such as "Malle2030" on T-shirts that children wore in the television garden.

Striking: A lot of guests had exactly the same T-shirts, including children.

At the request of tz.de, ZDF explained that no T-shirts with Ballermann slogans were distributed before the show.

But many guests in the television garden wore identical “Bierkönig” shirts.

Coincidence?

After tz.de first reported on a "Fiki Fiki" shirt on Sunday, a heated discussion broke out on Facebook about the t-shirt sayings in public broadcasting.

rtl.de also jumped on the bandwagon and made the shirts a big topic.

Viewers' opinions varied widely.

While the majority of ZDF viewers thought the T-shirts were harmless, there were also very critical voices.

"Project Manager Fiki Fiki" hotly debated by TV Garden viewers

Sayings like "Bye level" or "Project manager Fiki Fiki" would not have belonged in a format of the public broadcasters, according to some users on Facebook.

But where do the many identical T-shirts of the guests in the television garden come from?

Did ZDF distribute the shirts to the audience before the show?

Basis for the Facebook discussions: The black-haired woman wore a pink shirt with the saying: "Bye level", while the child next to her caused a stir with "Malle2030".

The man shot the bird with his black T-shirt on which was written: "Project Manager Fiki Fiki".

No, says a ZDF spokeswoman.

"In principle, no clothing is given out to viewers in the ZDF television garden," explains Elisa Schultz to tz.de.

There would also have been no beer or other alcoholic beverages, Schultz continued.

"Alcohol was not served."

Alcohol in the TV garden?

ZDF takes a position

The TV pictures speak a different language: plastic cups filled with a light-colored liquid were clearly visible on the beer tent furniture.

If the information provided by ZDF is correct, it was soda, juice or non-alcoholic beer.

ZDF writes online in an FAQ: “You may bring food and drink to the TV garden.

However, glass bottles and alcohol are not permitted.”

In front of the woman in the blue T-shirt is a beaker filled with a golden-yellow liquid.

ZDF told tz.de that no alcohol would be served in the television garden.

Tz.de spoke to a visitor to the "Mallorca Vs. Oktoberfest" television garden.

"Last Sunday, alcohol was not served, so there was only non-alcoholic beer and non-alcoholic wine spritzer."

Is this an exception?

"I assume on normal broadcast days there is both beer and wine," continues TV garden visitor Marleen.

TV garden visitor to tz.de: "My friends said there was alcohol too"

Another visitor, who was also in the television garden on Sunday, told tz.de: "

Well, I think there were only non-alcoholic drinks.

Even the punch was non-alcoholic.

But my friends said there was alcohol too.”

One thing is certain: the atmosphere at "Mallorca Vs. Oktoberfest" in the TV garden with Andrea Kiewel was exuberant.

If you believe ZDF, a lot of guests happened to be wearing the same T-shirt and didn't need alcohol to sing along to "Layla" at the top of their lungs.

After the television garden appearance: "Bergdoktor" star Ronja Forcher sells online for 90 euros

Ronja Forcher started as an actress at the age of six.

Since 2020, the "Bergdoktor" star has also been making his own German-language music and performed with it on the ZDF television garden.

Of course, the 26-year-old has a lot of fans, to whom she now offers her voice for money.
