LE FIGARO. Why are new tensions erupting between Kosovo and Serbia today?

Tensions are returning to the surface because of a change in the rules of passage between Serbia and Kosovo, wanted by Pristina.
In particular, Kosovo demands that Kosovo Serbs put Kosovar license plates on their cars, instead of Serbian plates, and that they adopt Kosovo identity papers.
Pristina's objective is to control its northern border with Serbia because, until now, this was not quite the case.
These changes set fire to the powder: Pristina's control of the northern border means that the Serb minority in Kosovo, which does not recognize the country's independence and considers itself Serb, finds itself caught in the trap.
Serbia has never recognized independence…
