After seven days, during which he toured the governorates, the activities of the national campaign to introduce the Child Rights Law, which was organized by the Child Culture Directorate in the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the cultural directorates in the governorates, concluded today with a celebration hosted by the Cultural Center in Ashrafieh Sahnaya in Damascus countryside entitled “Small Hearts for a Big Nation.”

The celebration included a variety of targeted cultural and artistic activities, including an art exhibition of painting, handicrafts, heritage, recycling, a scene of the shadow theater, a dance show, and a singing performance, where the paragraphs introduced the Child Rights Law.

The project coordinator of the Directorate of Child Culture at the Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with UNICEF, Samer Al-Nuaimi, explained that the event, which was launched since the 28th of last month and toured various governorates throughout the Syrian geography, was characterized by the definition of the Child Rights Law issued at the end of 2021, adding: “We made sure that The means by which children express what goes on inside them through the arts, to be the main carrier of their ideas in training programs that depend on the development of children’s abilities and talents.”

The coordinator of the Life Skills Team and Integrated Education Centers in Sahnaya, Samer Rafaa, pointed out that the activities included in the closing ceremony were attended by a group of children and adolescents, and they focused on the right of children to express themselves in civilized and artistic ways, and each paragraph carries a message, the most important of which is the rights of children to practice their hobbies and receive the support they deserve Especially after ten years of war that burdened childhood and the details of their lives.

Shadow theater coach Alaa Al-Sheikh stated that the show is the result of the training workshops that the children participated in over a period of two months, during which they learned everything contained in the interactive theater and the shadow imagination, starting from making puppets to the stage of the show, and the presentation that was presented aims to adopt childhood creativity.

The 12-year-old girl, Dala' Al-Sham Al-Khayt, who was distinguished by a ballet dance show, expressed her happiness to participate in this event and draw joy on the children's faces. As for the 15-year-old Malak Baraka, who participated in the Shadow Shadow show, she pointed out that despite the introduction of this method of expression, the She gives advice and messages in a beautiful and funny way, saying, “With science and diligence, children rebuild their dreams and ambitions that were destroyed by the war.”
