14 arrests were made for violations committed in As-Suwayda

The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Sweida has organized 14 seizures of violations committed, with their owners referred to the duly competent judiciary.

The head of the Consumer Protection Department in the directorate, Jihad Tarabay, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the organized seizures over the past two weeks were distributed by 5 seizures of excessive wages by owners of transportation means in the governorate’s countryside, two seizures of illegal use of diesel and gasoline from the reserve, and two seizures in private bakeries for stopping work without Prior permission and two seizures at two shops for not announcing prices, a seizure in a private bakery for the illegal disposal of flour, a seizure at a gas station to prevent the sale of diesel fuel, and a seizure in a commercial shop for selling at an extra price.

Tarabay pointed out that there is a vigorous and daily follow-up to verify the abundance of basic materials in the market while prosecuting the monopolists to take the necessary measures against them, while continuing to conduct patrols on the markets, receive telephone and written complaints and process them, and withdraw samples from various materials to conduct the necessary analyzes on them within the directorate’s laboratory to verify their compliance with the conditions health.
