After their huge success with the idea of ​​the straw bale pool, the young CSU renewed their demand for a body of water.

Vaterstetten – On three days of the event, around 2,500 people from Vaterstetten gathered at the Junge Union’s 72 square meter straw bale pool to spend enjoyable hours under the palm trees in Vaterstetten.

The CSU offspring sees the campaign as a complete success, according to Chairman Florian Pöhlmann in a statement on Wednesday.

The success and the feedback from the visitors would also prove that the Junge Union was right in its demand for a bathing lake, says Pöhlmann.

"Since the beginning of the event, we have wanted a bathing lake for Vaterstetten and have stuck to this wish over the years.

Given the tight budget situation, this is of course not a project that will be implemented overnight, but we have never lost sight of the goal and are still working on a successful implementation.

We would prefer it if we could set up the deckchairs and palm trees at a bathing lake at some point," says Pöhlmann.

The rush to “holiday weekend at home” exceeds all expectations

Until then, the community citizens can continue to look forward to the fact that the gates to the straw bale pool will be opened for a weekend once a year and invite you to a "holiday weekend at home".

The rush this year exceeded all expectations, according to the JU chairman.

"We had to buy more groceries several times and our drinks supplier even opened up his warehouse for us again on Sunday so that we could get fresh supplies."

According to the Junge Union, a quarter of a ton of French fries was sold at the event.

According to Pöhlmann, the best reward for the strong joint effort of the young up-and-coming politicians was the beaming faces of at times 200 children who were present at the same time.

While the little ones were mainly in the pool and the bouncy castles, you could see the parents sitting in the deckchairs with relaxed faces.
