Choosing the university academic major after passing the General Secondary Certificate is the focus of the interactive theater show hosted by the Culture Palace Theater in Sweida this evening, on the second day of the national campaign launched by the Ministry of Culture to introduce the Child Rights Law entitled “Small Hearts for a Big Nation.”

The presentation performed by four young people under the supervision of coach Sarah Nasr raised the issue of self-determination by choosing a university scientific major after passing the high school certificate between the student’s ambition and the desire of the parents to enter a specific specialization for certain considerations and the impact of this on achieving success, distinction or failure, whether at the academic level or practical in the future.

The presentation created an interactive situation with the audience in discussing this issue and exchanging views, as some pointed out the importance of dialogue within the family and that the decisions of the children be shared with the parents and take their right to the discussion.

The Director of the Child Culture Department in the Directorate of Culture in As-Suwayda, Diala Al-Mulhim, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the show is the product of the interactive theater workshop, which was held by the Life Skills team over a period of two months, and provides the possibility of direct communication and interaction with the public and proposing solutions to the issue being discussed, thus achieving public participation through interaction. With actors on stage.

The celebration activities, organized by the Directorate of Child Culture at the Ministry of Culture and the Directorate of Culture in Sweida and the life skills team in it, started yesterday with a variety of cultural activities with the participation of about 75 children and adolescents, and will conclude tomorrow with various activities “singing, music, drawing and games” at the Joy and Love Club with Down syndrome children.
