The head of the union, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani, stated in a statement to SANA that the intellectual must be constantly present in the most difficult times and not lose hope and strive to develop and fortify his society, which is the role of cultural, educational, educational and media institutions, which is what the Arab Writers Union has tried to do through the activities and events it established Its associations and branches in all governorates.
Al-Hourani added: The Union was keen to strengthen its presence in the governorates through the events it held in a number of them, such as Deir Ezzor, Hasaka, Daraa, Quneitra and As-Suwayda, most of which were aimed at immunizing young people and enhancing their presence in the cultural scene, as well as seminars warning of the danger of terrorism and its return in other forms to our society and our youth. .

In turn, the head of the Arab Writers Union branch in Homs, Omaima Ibrahim, indicated that despite all the difficult circumstances that have passed through our country, the Writers Union has been interested in developing the young generation and diversifying cultural activities that contribute to discovering talents and presenting them to the future, in addition to sponsoring the youth cultural club, which includes creators in all fields. moral and provide the necessary care and advice to them.
She added, "We seek to bridge the gap between colleagues who were separated by the circumstances of war and successive crises. We bridge the rift caused by the war with love and with kind words, revealing an exhibition of small paintings and accompanying musical activities in the near future, pointing at the same time to the formation of a theater group for the branch, and we will see a selection of its blossoms soon."
