“Forest and vegetation fires: Preventing conflagration”.
At the heart of a high-risk summer, marked among other things by the two gigantic fires which ravaged the south of the Gironde at the end of July, the report of the senatorial mission "relating to the prevention and the fight against the intensification and 'extension of the fire risk' sums up well the challenge for the months and years to come.

Launched in the spring, after the major fire in Gonfaron in the Var in particular (7,000 hectares devastated and 2 dead in August 2021), this mission made several dozen proposals to adapt the strategy to climate change and act on the behavior of users and professional practices.
