Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag called it "unacceptable" that some players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, left Old Trafford before the end of Sunday's pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano.
Portuguese striker Ronaldo returned to the team for the match after missing the tour of Thailand and Australia for family reasons, but failed to score and was substituted at half-time.
Images of Ronaldo leaving the stadium before the end of the match (1-1) appeared on social networks, and the BBC reported that other players who were sitting in the management box had also left early.
"We are a team and that means you stay until the end," Ten Hag told Viaplay.
"This is unacceptable to everyone involved."
