The Cologne band Kasalla has canceled their European tour "Rudeldiere".

Too few tickets were sold for the planned concerts.

Cologne – shock for all Kasalla fans: the people of Cologne have canceled their entire European tour.

The "Rudeldiere" tour, which was supposed to start in September, will not take place, reports 24RHEIN.

The reason: Kasalla said they sold too few tickets.

That, in combination with the rising production costs for such a tour, is the reason for the decision, the band emphasizes in a long statement on their Facebook page.

Kasalla cancel European tour: too few tickets sold

“We struggled for a long time, somehow wanted to make it possible, but in the end we had to face reality.

Unfortunately, the 'Rudeldiere' tour 22/23 will not be able to take place.

“And the reason is simple and just as painful to say: ticket sales.

Or the missing one," the band continues.

The fact that Kasalla could have problems with ticket sales may come as a surprise to many.

Only in June did the five from Cologne play a sold-out concert in the RheinEnergie Stadium.

At the Parookaville Festival at Weeze Airport in July, the organizers even had to cancel Kasalla's performance because the audience in front of the stage was too big.

The current album "Rudeldiere" made it into the top 10 of the German album charts.

Doesn't sound like a band that should have trouble selling tickets.

Kasalla cancel European tour: Corona, war and too many events

"Even when we were planning the big school trip (tour; ed.) it was clear that we were booking into an already extremely full calendar of events.

That so many are going on tour this year,” explains the band.

According to Kasalla, many other bands and musicians are currently feeling the same way.

The ongoing corona pandemic, the war in Ukraine and the resulting economic consequences would ensure that ticket sales would slow down or fall.

With an extremely large number of events in a short period of time, mainly due to corona postponements, and rising production costs, “many tours are simply not feasible,” complain Kasalla.

It was not possible for the band to postpone the entire tour.

Tickets that have already been purchased can now be returned to the ticket offices.

Kasalla had already had to cancel several concerts in December 2021.

The reason at the time was the corona pandemic.

Kasalla: European tour "Rudeldiere" canceled - band looks ahead

NRW concerts in Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Krefeld, Bielefeld and of course also in Cologne were planned for the “Rudeldiere” tour.

There should have been more concerts in Germany, but also appearances in Europe.

Prague (Czech Republic), Vienna (Austria), Zurich (Switzerland) and Venlo (Netherlands) were among others on the tour calendar.

Despite the bitter setback of a canceled tour, the band is positive about the future.

You want to look ahead now and keep trying and planning things.

"Let's work together to make life as colorful as it was before.

And dear Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Berlin, Vienna, Zurich and all wonderful places: We will be back, no question, today is not every day!

Please wait for us,” said the band from Cologne.
