The work of the expatriate gathering forum began today in the hall of the government complex in Daraa, with the aim of reviewing the development investment opportunities in the governorate and the mechanisms for overcoming investment obstacles in it.
He called on the expatriates participating in the forum to study the possibility of constructing an industrial city in Daraa for investment purposes and facilitating the process of financial transfers into Syria while activating the role of Syrian embassies and economic annexes abroad in terms of attracting expatriates to invest inside the country and granting them facilities and investment advantages and amending some legislation governing the investment process.
Daraa Governor, Eng. Louay Khareta, stressed during the forum that the government seeks to provide all facilities to expatriates and investors, as project licenses are decided upon within a period not exceeding 15 days from the date of completing the submitted papers, indicating that the purpose of the expatriate gathering is to see investment difficulties and to present ideas and visions to overcome them and to develop regulatory legislation. the investment process.
For his part, the Secretary of the Arab Socialist Baath Party branch, Hussein al-Rifai, indicated that Syria needs the efforts of all its sons at home and abroad to confront the economic war imposed on it, stressing that the Daraa governorate is a promising investment environment and it is necessary for the people of the country to contribute to these projects that benefit the country.
Director of Tourism Yasser Al-Saadi said: The “Expatriates Gathering” event constitutes an added value in the reconstruction phase of Syria, and that bringing in national capital is important, especially in investment projects in the tourism sector, as it generates a quick profit and is economically feasible.
