At a meeting of the "Blue and White New Hope" faction, Gantz said: "Our system of government should adapt to the reality in Israel of 2022 in a way that will ensure stability" • According to him, "It must be ensured that Netanyahu does not have a bloc of 61" • Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar at the meeting: "Ganz He is the most qualified of the candidates to be prime minister"

Defense Minister and Chairman of the New Blue and White HaTikva, Benny Gantz, said at the beginning of the faction's meeting this morning (Wednesday): "The more the policy of the Israeli government goes to the center - the more we can build stability for the State of Israel.

If we all looked to the center, instead of a few people who looked to themselves, to the sides or outside - we would have a functioning government.

We and the citizens of Israel deserve another chance for unity."

He also said at the yeshiva: "We have constitutional challenges, such as the need to address our system of government, which needs to adapt to the reality in Israel of 2022 in a way that will ensure governmental stability. Also, in the next Knesset, we must complete the critical steps of enacting the term limit law, and bring about a decision, As should have happened already in the last government, the law prohibiting a criminal accused from forming a government.

"This will not affect the composition of the next government, but it is of paramount importance. The prime minister's throne cannot be used to obstruct legal proceedings - we were there, and we must not go back there.

Will the law pass?

"We must guarantee two aspects: the first - that Netanyahu will not have a bloc of 61, and the second - that we can unite as broad a group as possible, which although does not agree on everything, but sees the needs of the state before its own needs. A group that is made up of all the tribes and takes care of all parts of society. A group You can even reach 70 state and responsible Knesset members."

"Everyone will benefit"

On the subject of mandatory prison service with security prisoners, Gantz said: "I received the letter from the Minister of Internal Security, and like him, I agree that there should be an immediate dialogue between the ministries regarding the continuation of mandatory service in the Security Service.

We will have this conversation as soon as possible, and we will manage this process thoroughly and quickly, and if required - we will bring the issue to legislation."

On the subject of the security situation, he said: "We will continue the operational activity where and when necessary. No threat will divert us. We will also act resolutely to restore normality to the Gaza Strip. If it is not possible to return to normality - there will be no normality inside Gaza either. If normality returns - all the residents of the area They will benefit. I also wish to strengthen the residents of the Otaf, who give us power and the ability to conduct a correct and responsible security policy."

Danger of regime change

Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar, who was also present at the meeting, spoke and said: "What makes the upcoming elections unique is the danger that what will happen in them is a change of regime. A complete change of the regime in the State of Israel as we knew it, and a complete dismantling of the checks and balances in our system.

"These things are already visible and are on the table. Not long ago, the Likud faction brought a bill to make the method of selecting judges supreme for election by the government, with the approval of the Knesset plenum. This is one stumbling block to the executive authority's attempt to take over the other authorities.

"In the past, all the Zionist currents agreed on the basic principles of our system. Debates were about policy areas. Here we are talking about the very existence of the regime, the very existence of the State of Israel as we knew it, as we have known it since its establishment. We hear this in other contexts as well , with threats to impeach the ombudsman.

Everything revolves around the same axis of dismantling the balances and brakes in our regime.

Gantz - the most qualified

"In these elections there are three candidates for the position of Prime Minister. Gantz is the most qualified to serve in the position, much more than the other two candidates. By virtue of his personality traits, experience and commitment to statehood, and by virtue of the fact that he is the only one who can unite Israeli society."
