A man who hit and dragged a police officer on a scooter during a check on Friday in the sensitive Guillotière district in Lyon was sentenced on Tuesday to 18 months in prison and imprisoned, we learned on Wednesday August 3 from the prosecution.
In immediate appearance, the man was sentenced "
to 18 months' imprisonment with a warrant of committal
", the Lyon prosecutor's office told AFP, i.e. "
12 months for the facts with which he is charged and 6 months corresponding to the revocation of a suspended sentence pronounced during a previous conviction

Around 10:30 p.m. Friday evening in La Guillotière, a sensitive district in the center of Lyon, a Bac policeman wanted to check a man on a scooter who did not have a helmet.
Refusing to comply, he hit the policeman with his scooter and dragged him for ten meters until he lost control of his two-wheeler.
Both men suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.
The police officer has four days of temporary interruption of work.
The suspect, alcoholic, had been arrested and taken into custody.
In the same neighborhood, three police officers were attacked on July 20, while trying to arrest a person suspected of theft, in the middle of a crowd that violently attacked them.
Two of the suspects have since been arrested and charged.
