MK Ben Barak said as part of his remarks: "The incident of pimping the female prison guards at Gilboa prison is a very serious incident and there is no possibility of taking it easy when it comes to addressing and handling it.
I will use the opportunity to tell the female soldiers who serve outside the IDF that they are doing a very significant and very important service and that their contribution is enormous to the security of the country.
"We are here today in the committee after the new testimony to see and make sure that the support the female soldiers need is being provided and the criminal investigation is progressing. We will continue to monitor the treatment of female soldiers and soldiers who serve outside the army and act according to the report adopted by the Minister of Defense."
Afterwards, lawyer Karen Barak, the attorney for the soldier who was raped in prison, read what she said to her: "Several years ago I was brutally raped in prison, since then I have become a broken woman. The question why I didn't report in real time has no place. Anyone who knows the abominable murderer rapist I know that if I had complained it would have been a complaint to him because the control of the prison was his. For the sake of justice - help us get answers. I request that you set up a commission of inquiry - who gave the terrorist the power to rape female soldiers."
