Munich: Lorenz (15 months) gets stuck in a suspension bridge – the fire brigade is approaching

"Little Lorenz is 15 months old and has been exploring the world on foot for two weeks now.

So it was in the nature of things that he wanted to follow his big brother on the climbing tower."

With the help of his mother, he was curious and dared to climb the wooden suspension bridge that connects two towers.

"After the first steps, the mishap happened - he slipped his left leg into the approximately three centimeter gap between the steps of the suspension bridge," said the emergency services.

The toddler's leg got stuck.

The mother tried to free the boy with other mothers.

"But as easily as the little leg slipped into the gap, it quickly became impossible to get out again." The woman called the fire brigade.

Little Munich gets stuck in the playground - after the rescue, he can look at the fire engine

An emergency fire engine was alerted to the playground.

On site, the mother was able to "quickly and calmly present the obvious course of events and that she had already exhausted all the options available to her to free the boy."

The emergency services quickly found out that the individual steps of the suspension bridge were fixed to a steel cable with screws.

They opened the screws with a cordless screwdriver and were able to push the rungs apart by the necessary centimeter to free the boy's leg.

“Unharmed, mother and son hugged again.

To relax, the two brothers were allowed to take a quick look at the fire engine with their mother,” the statement concludes.
