The Education Bureau has announced the "Activity Planning Calendar" for schools for the 2022 school year, and strongly recommends that school-based national education activities be planned systematically on important days with reference to the calendar.
Several important dates have been added to the new school calendar. For example, on August 1st Army Day, students will be arranged to collect information or conduct research on the PLA, and on the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, students can be arranged to discuss the development of the Communist Party in Chinese history or history classes.

The latest announcement from the Education Bureau pointed out that schools have the responsibility to cultivate students' national concept, national identity and national pride from an early age.
Currently, all primary and secondary schools and special schools in Hong Kong must hoist the national flag every school day, hold a national flag raising ceremony once a week and play and sing the national anthem.

In the circular, the Education Bureau strongly recommends that schools refer to the "National Education - Activity Planning Calendar" to comprehensively and systematically implement national education in the 2022 school year, including arranging learning activities outside the classroom on important days and coordinating with the teaching of related subjects, so as to deepen students' understanding of the subject. Understand important historical events in the country, accurately grasp the constitutional order constituted by "One Country, Two Systems", the Constitution and the Basic Law, and cultivate students' national concept.
