Nespresso and Chena Restaurant (Herzl 10, Tel Aviv) are collaborating and presenting during August a Friday brunch menu filled with unique dishes and cocktails based on cold coffee.

Start fantasizing about: Caesar salad with charcoal-grilled salmon (NIS 62);

Frittata from the tabon with vegetables and the meiri cheese (NIS 65);

White fish crudo with red spicy (NIS 62);

Florentine pear in a butter croissant (NIS 69), and steak and pear on a sirloin base and a pile of chips (NIS 93).

Prefer something sweet?

Please: "Francespresso" (French toast, vanilla ice cream and salted caramel sauce based on Nespresso coffee - NIS 68).

And what do you drink?

Summer Espresso Tonic cocktail (ristrato, mint, lime, touches of sugar and tonic water - NIS 24);

Cocktail Wake Up!

(long espresso, coffee liqueur, Israeli grappa and creme de banana - NIS 38), and other intriguing alcoholic creations.

The Mocha boutique pizzeria chain joins forces with Redefine Meat and launches "Redefining Pizza" - a pop-up of summer pizzas with new meat.

Breaking the rules: Hawaiian pizza (tomato sauce, mozzarella, Redifine pepperoni, pineapple, chives and green chili - NIS 82);

Roman pizza (cream sauce, Redifine sausages, brown onion, zucchini "spaghetti" and mozzarella - NIS 72);

and Emilia & Romana pizza (creamy tomato sauce, ground new meat stew, date tomatoes, roasted leeks and basil).

The dishes are offered in a limited edition until the end of September.

It is possible to replace the regular cheese with vegan cheese.

The OLE Group, led by Chef Oren Assido, will open a pop-up stand on 5.8 at the TLV Mall (Hasmonaim-Karlibach, Tel Aviv), where you can take a break from shopping and stock up on OLE delicacies, stews and salads such as matbucha jam, eggplants in the cradle, salted caramel butter and a variety of breads and desserts.

The booth will be open every Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

It is also possible and desirable to take something home.

The Burger Salon chain is adding two new sandwiches to its summer collection: Wild Crispy Chicken (chicken in a crispy coating with coleslaw salad, chalpinio pepper, pepper aioli, lettuce, tomato and sauces in a bun - NIS 52);

and Philly Cheese Steak (grilled pieces of steak in ciabatta, fried peppers and onions, pepper aioli, halfinio and cheddar cheese - NIS 78 / NIS 71 for club members, the dish is offered in August only).

Would you like dessert with your pizza?

No problem, get two: Domino's Pizza is expanding its sweet selection with a pair of desserts in a limited summer edition: "White Chocolate Pistachio Overkill" (custom dessert pizza with touches of butter, pistachio sauce, white chocolate sauce and pistachio pieces - 34 NIS / 95 NIS together with a family pizza) and "excessive fingers with salty pretzel dip (just like it sounds - NIS 22 / NIS 88 together with a family pizza). Be careful not to eat the whole hand.

The Sea Cafe chain has a pair of food tracks at two of its branches on Route 6 (Magal West and Magal Mizrah), where you can purchase corner dishes such as shakshuka pita (NIS 33);

Shoshana and Reuven restaurant in Bnei Brak (Baruch Hirsh 14, in front of Ayalon Mall) celebrates 60 years of culinary tradition and launches a new business menu, where each meal includes three hot side dishes, three salads and a cold drink.

At "Eskit Shoshana" you will get a skewer to choose from: kebab, chicken, chicken breast, chicken liver, chicken hearts or schnitzel (NIS 43);

At "Eskit Reuven" the number of skewers doubles to two (63 NIS), while at "Eskit Mocharim" you can choose between Angus entrecote (62 NIS) and beef fillet (65 NIS).

At Zedekiah Jerusalem (Yad Harutz 21) they are launching a Mecha Galim fish menu, which will be offered regularly alongside the regular menu.

Dakos goat cheese and black pepper (salad of herbs, figs and almonds - NIS 68);

Yogurt flan (feta, honey, thyme and caramelized figs), and a selection of desserts.

The chain's delicatessen will sell fig challah and white chocolate (NIS 44);

On the knife, red, sweet and creamy: Sitara (Rosenblum Herzl 8, Tel Aviv) salutes watermelon, and until August 13, the restaurant will serve dishes that combine the summer fruit in surprising ways.

Among them: Watermelon sashimi (Intias sashimi, lemon jam, lavender cream and whipped yogurt, basil oil and mint - NIS 87);

At Cafe Kirsch (Dizengoff 189, Tel Aviv) there is a Happy Hour in collaboration with Hollander Distillery, from Sunday to Thursday, from 16:00 until closing time, during which sets of cocktails and desserts based on those cocktails will be offered.

Served in pairs: Apple Martini with Sabrina Passion Pink Lady;

Mint Jollip Cocktail with Ginger Lemon Eclair;

And grape eau de vie with grape and peanut tart.

And now for something a little different: students from Tel Hai College won first place in the world's largest international competition for food technologies in Chicago (IFT) that took place about two weeks ago, for the product they created "Pingarla" - a vegetable-based cheese.

"This is an amazing product," said the presenter when the award was presented.

"My dream is to establish a startup in the foodtech field," said Assaf Avner, one of the students on the DREENZ social network, which aims to enable people to realize their dreams.

"I want to start a business that produces products based on plant proteins" Avner continued.

"We are currently working and developing cheese that is based on vegetables. My dream is to help prevent global warming caused by eating animal products and reduce greenhouse gas emissions with products that are more sustainable and support ecology and the environment."
