Erding's TSV athletes dominate the Bavarian U16 championship.

There is also gold over 800 meters.

Erding

– TSV Erding competed with a quartet at the Bavarian U16 Championships in Kitzingen.

In the end there was one gold and two silver.

In view of the 270-kilometre journey, the people from Erding had already arrived the day before.

Clara Demmelhuber, Magdalena Reisinger, Theresa Schmid and Katja Riedl (all W 14) proved in the competition that it was worth it.

In the pole vault with ten participants, Demmelhuber entered the competition at 2.00 m and also safely crossed 2.20 m and 2.40 m.

Only at 2.55 m was the end, which brought her eighth place.

Reisinger climbed in at 2.55 m, also climbed every further height (2.70 m/2.80 m/2.90 m/3.00 m) in the first attempt and was therefore always in the lead.

Riedl needed two attempts for her initial height of 3.00 m, Sophia Obermayer from Wasserburg also managed this height.

Now all three were guaranteed a medal, the only question was the colour.

Obermayer got out at 3.10 meters.

Reisinger and Riedl then even crossed 3.20 meters, which for Reisinger means an increase of ten centimeters on their record.

The subsequent 3.30 meters were still too high for both of them that day.

After the evaluation, a double victory was certain for Erding.

Riedl received gold at the same height, and Reisinger (one more failed attempt) was happy about silver.

Won the 800 meter run: Theresa Schmid.

Coach Alex Bauer was also proud of his three pole vaulters: “Magdalena jumped with the new four-meter pole for the first time.

That worked fine.

In winter, you have to work on the puncture.

Clara showed great gymnastic ability on the stick.

The baton facility in Kitzingen is great for the spectators because it is at the end of a slope and the spectators stand on a hill and have a great view of the competition facility.”

Now it was time to wait for the start over 800 meters.

Schmid started her warm-up program in good time, but the start was delayed.

It was getting harder and harder to keep the tension high.

After a delay of more than an hour, the starting shot was fired.

The girl from Erding ran in the middle of the group of 21 participants, first had to fight her way free - and then confidently ran away from the front.

She was only overtaken in the last 30 meters.

In the end she was proud of the silver and the strong time of 2:21.50 minutes.
