Rep. Jackie Walorski, a Republican from Indiana, died Wednesday at the age of 58 in a car accident, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy confirmed on Twitter.

McCarthy said the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office has already notified Walorski's husband, Dean Swihart.
Walorski precinct director Zachery Potts and his communications director Emma Thompson were also killed in the crash, the sheriff's office confirmed in a Facebook post.

“Devastated to hear the horrific news of the passing of Jackie Walorski and her two advisers,” tweeted Republican Caucus Chairman Steve Scalise, Rep.
"She was a dear friend who loved serving the people of Indiana in Congress."
