Today, the Thai Ministry of Health announced the third case of monkeypox.

And the Chinese news agency, Xinhua, quoted Opas Karenkawenpong, Director-General of the Ministry's Disease Control Department, as saying: The infected person is a 25-year-old German man who entered Phuket Island on July 18 and developed symptoms shortly after.

He continued: The authorities believe that it is an imported case due to the incubation time, adding that no infection has been found so far among the close contacts who have been identified.
