The Nicaraguan television station RB3 went off the air this Tuesday, journalist David Mendoza, owner of the medium, announced in his last broadcast.

Mendoza told CNN in a telephone communication that he took this action after the subscription television service provider company removed him from its programming schedule.

He added that the cable company had also received a letter from the Institute of Telecommunications and Post Office (Telcor).

According to the statement received, Telcor alleges that RB3 does not have the authorization of this communications regulator.

However, David Mendoza told CNN that he never received a warning from Telcor that he was not complying with any requirement to operate.
