On August 1st, the first episode "The unbelievably smartest person in the world" flickered across the screens.

The new show by Hans Sigl ran directly after "Who wants to be a millionaire" and surprised with a good start.

There were positive and negative reactions to the new quiz show on Twitter and Facebook.

It has long been proven that quiz shows on German television are absolute quota guarantors.

Now “Bergdoktor” star Hans Sigl is getting his own show on RTL.

But even the first episode of "The unbelievably smartest person in the world" is not well received by some viewers.

The format is new and has many exciting innovations in the broad quiz landscape on TV.

"The incredibly smartest person in the world": ratings leave a lot to be desired

The 3-million-euro week for “Who wants to be a millionaire” started on August 1st and once again shines with strong ratings.

Immediately afterwards, the first episode "The unbelievably smartest person in the world" flickers on RTL and hopes to benefit from the strong ratings of the pre-show.

If you take a look at Twitter, however, things are far from rosy for Hans Sigl.

However, there are always predominantly negative voices.

The new quiz format was praised by critics such as the industry service DWDL.

On August 1, “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” attracted 0.61 million viewers from the “14 to 49 year olds” target group to their screens.

0.27 million viewers stay on the private channel to watch the pilot episode by Hans Sigl.

A good start for the new quiz show.

Despite the good ratings, critics can be found on Twitter and Facebook: "The fact that RTL airs a program on a Monday after 11 p.m. that is called 'The unbelievably smartest person in the world' is really entertaining in itself," jokes a viewer.

Disaster for Bergdoktor Hans Sigl: RTL viewers tear up his new show, but there is also praise

"The title is actually wrong, not 'the incredibly smartest person in the world', but should read: 'perhaps the smartest celebrity a bit on RTL'," laughs another Twitter user.

Another laughs: "I'm amazed that they're looking for him on #RTL of all things".

However, there are some fans on Facebook: "I thought it was great, spontaneous and funny," enthuses one user, while another gives advice to critics on the Internet: "I like the show a lot.

I don't know what's wrong with that.

If you don't want to see them, just turn them off."

Hans Sigl, whom most viewers have come to know and love as a mountain doctor, mastered his moderator role surprisingly well.

With charm, wit, serenity and sovereignty, the Austrian demonstrated entertainer qualities.

A second Jauch would do RTL good.

Perhaps Hans Sigl is well on the way to landing more presenter jobs on TV.
